Dead-end

I am very weirded out with my key board. Every time I try to type on both of my two computers, the keyboard is on CAPS LOCK. I am at a dead-end with my art. I haven't created any projects for months. I am afraid I am losing my touch.

I was going to use this for
a background for my laptop.

A very fake looking sample picture.

Maybe the only way to over come my mental block is to jump into art again, cold turkey. I am going to post some pictures:
I have no idea how
this got onto my computer.
Weird.

I feel better some how even though I didn't create anything. I will leave my computer for an hour or more, create stuff, and post it. No editing, no fuss. Sorry, I got distracted with a magical grilled cheese sandwhitch. Here we go now:
Ok, I did edit. I cropped out my hands
and improved the light.
Sue me.
I know this is a little ametuer. Ok, A LOT
ametuer.
Sue me.
This on is better than it looks. It took a
long time. I printed the tiki head
and did a bunch of stuff to it.
Here is a detail:

The line is a little wobbly, the way I was holding my paper was a little rough and it warped the paper.
I added some color to the tiki head for effect, and added little drawing in all the light colored,
outside squares.

That took alittle longer than I thought. I know I only made two, but it still got me back into the groove of things.

Photography and comedy

Hello guys! I know I already posted today but that post is actually from yesterday, I just needed to edit it. So, have you peoples ever seen the show "Everybody loves Raymond?" They only have reruns, but I haven't seen an eighth of the episodes yet. Any way, I recently got a bathrobe and a gray sweatsuit. I also own an espresso machine and make a latte almost everyday. With my coffee, bathrobe, and sweatsuit, I look like the old man on the show, Frank. He is Raymond's father who no one likes. It is a hilarious show!

Another awesome show, which is my absolute favorite show ever: Castle. It is about a rugged-poet looking mystery writer who works with the cops to get ideas for his murder novels. Even though he is only using the investigated crimes as a muse, he solves half of them. Castle and a cop named Kate Becket are the head investigators and there is an undertone of a romance between them even though they sometimes have significant others.   It is A TOTALLY AWESOME SHOW ON ABC FROM 10-11 EASTERN TIME. OR 9-10 OR SOMETHING BUT EVERY MONDAY. The reason I'm talking about TV shows on an art blog is TV is kind of an art but mainly my blog is my diary and that's what I feel to talk about.

Moving on to the normal art stuff, I want to discuss photography. I'm not terribly interested in photography but every now and then, I make a series or two. I am currently working on a morning series. I am taking pictures of my neighbors during their morning normal business. You know, reading the paper, drinking coffee, doing puzzles, and just talking. If anyone is a photographer, I could use some tips on flash settings, subjects, and getting the right focus.

Now some true, genuine art. Does anyone out there know I am mostly Irish? I am. I even now a little of the native language, Gaelic. I am insanely obsessed with Ireland and I even look Irish. My hair is kind of red and a little curly. I love Irish art along with everything else in the country. I will move there soon, but for now I am stuck in the good ol' USA. Getting to the art part, here is a piece of modern Irish art I found:
It is a little amateur but kind of impressive. I think I might be able to make a pencil sketch inspired by it. I am not saying it is an awesome painting, I just like the idea. Here is a VERY ROUGH draft using Microsoft paint inspired by the painting on left: Click here to see I hope it works because I would have just inserted it using the blogger thing which I always use when I put in picture I own but I couldn't get it to work so I tried a new way and I'm not sure if it'll work or not.

Sorry my blog has been kind of boring lately but I am having a dead brain for a month or so. I think I'm gettin' old. Comment! Give suggestions! Be a fan! Follow my blog! Watch Castle!

Pastel colors & tranquility

Last night, I had an odd dream, as usual. I was searching google and re-searching and re-searching over and over again. I was searching for a pastel color wheel. Well, this morning, I remembered my dream and I decided to try to find a google image of a color wheel of pastel colors. For you who are art dunces, pastels are both a medium of art and a family of colours. My perspective of pastel colors are bunny balloon pink, Rosy red, baby blue, mint green, light lilac, etc... Any way, when I searched it, normal colour wheels came up for example:
See? That is just your basic art color wheel. The row of colours which is second from the outside, is pastel. I was looking for JUST pastel colors not every colour of the rainbow. What up with America?? Moving on, I think I should make an artwork with pastels because it seems like that is what my dream is telling me. Any ideas? Maybe I should show you my brainstorm: Never mind, maybe another time.
Earlier today, I was arranging the table in my house for my great aunt and uncle. They are coming over from up north which takes about two hours one way. I ALWAYS come to them in my suburban but this is the first time they have made the drive. Any way, I was smoothing out the salt in a dish to put candles in when I remembered those miniature gardens. Not with plants, but the tabletop ones with the sand and rocks and teeny rakes. They don't seem like art but I think they are. Isn't it cool. I think any one's artist inside them will be unleashes with these. I could be working with something like this for hours. It is only about six dollars on amazon. If any of my readers has a miniature garden like this, please write in!
