Tea

This post is about my obsession with tea.
Caution: may contain incoherent babble about the wonderfulness of the wonders of tea.

I have recently become obsessed with tea. It all started when I started eating healithier. I decided to try some green tea, and then herbal tea.

I loved it. I saw a video about tea. You can click the link to watch, the tea part doesn't start until about 56 seconds into the video.
I was very interested in the tea charlie used in the video, and I discovered it was black tea. Immediately I went out a bought some, and I got loose-leaf black tea with a hint of dark chocolate. When I tried it with some cream I discovered black tea is delicious! Especially because you can put cream in it!

I have become obsessed with all kinds of tea, and right now I am doing extensive research on tea for a project. I have been learning about the traditional tea plant, Camellia sinensis and the variety of teas it can produce.
I am also obsessed with all kinds of tea pots, tea cups, and tea mugs. They are just so lovely!
I really want to put on a huge tea party with all the right little food treats and etiquette and tea service and everything!
So, yeah. I don't really know what the point of that was, but I love tea! I think I will do a tea drawing, and perhaps carve a stamp. I have a stamp set with tea stuff in it, so perhaps I will make a card or project with it.

Some lovely books

This is a list of my favourite lovely books that I really enjoy, and make me feel good inside. I love many books other than these, these are just the choices I thought fit in my blog.

The Mother Daughter Book Club by Heather Vogel Frederick
This is a series of 6 books, about a group of 4 girls (later 5) who all join a book club with their mothers. In the first book, they are all in 6th grade in the first book, and in the most recent book (the last book) they are all in 11th grade, I believe. Each chapter is from a different girls' first-person perspective, so it is in shifting first person.

The Tea Shop Girls by Laura Schaefer
This is not a series, it is by itself. This book isn't written very well, but the actual story is nice. It is about a girl name Anne and her two friends who are trying to save Anne's grandmother's teashop. I really like the teashop her grandma runs, it sounds so nice to be in. It gives me so many ideas!

The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster
This book was written many years ago, but it is still very enjoyable. It isn't exactly lovely, but it is very endearing. Milo is a troubled boy who goes on an adventure through the phantom tollbooth, having adventure in odd towns, like Dictionopolis, and Conclusions.

Cheburashka

Hallo!
I found a little article-thingy on my favorite crafting blog, Memi the Rainbow. It was about a little cartoon character from Russia named Cheburashka. Read about him on Memi's blog here.
The video she has is an homage-type video, but an actual episode with english subtitles can be found below. This is a video of all four episodes ever made, so it is really long. Cheburashka doesn't show up until about 1 min. 36 sec.
Isn't he adorable?
I think I might carve a Cheburashka stamp like Memi did on her blog. Did I tell you, my imaginary followers, that I carve stamps?
Speaking of followers, I have a hit counter on my dashboard that shows the views of my blog I get per day. I can't tell if that is just me looking at my blog all the time, or people are actually looking at it, so IF YOU ARE READING, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT THAT LETS ME KNOW YOU LOOK AT MY BLOG!

Japanese cute emoticons!

Hi guys!
I have discovered the cutest japanese emoticons. Japanese emoticons are read vertically, and can be pasted onto HTML programs like Microsoft Word, but can't really be typed on the keyboard because most of them use non-keyboard symbols. Here is a link to a complete list. http://www.japaneseemoticons.net/all-japanese-emoticons/

I haven't really checked out that site that much, so I can't vouch for what is on there.
Here are some of my favourites:

。◕‿◕。 (happy face)
◕┏з┓◕ (mustache face)
☆(◕з◕)☆ (pouty star face)

Signing off for now,
